Calendar of Events

The Calendar in Nucleic Acids Research lists upcoming events in related areas, e.g. conferences, seminars, workshops, courses, etc. It is compiled by Nucleic Acids Research and updated regularly. The Calendar is dynamic, so that only current and future events are displayed, and past events are automatically deleted. Publication of events on Nucleic Acids Research does not imply endorsement by Oxford University Press or Nucleic Acids Research.

The "Search Calendar" feature allows you to search for events by topic, location, sponsoring organization, and date.

If you are the organizer of an event and would like it to be considered for inclusion in the Calendar, please complete a "Submit an Event" form.

Subjects/Keywords: bioinformatics, A dip into EBI resources: understanding your data
Description: As we move towards understanding biology at the systems level, access to large data sets of many different types has become crucial. Technologies such as genome-sequencing, microarrays, proteomics and structural genomics have provided ‘parts lists’ for many living organisms.
The EMBL-EBI maintains the world’s most comprehensive range of molecular databases. This course provides a broad introduction to EBI core resources and practical, trainer-guided demonstration of when, why and how to use them. Several resources will be covered spanning genomics to systems biology.
In addition to presenting practical information on the range of EBI resources and how to use these tools, this course aims to illustrate their applicability to research by using a range of case studies. In this way, use of the resources is presented with reference to biological questions.
