Genomics
This category presents new strategies for the genomic scale analyses. Examples include, but are not limited to, positional or whole genome cloning (e.g. using HAC, BAC, YAC, or P1 systems, see also CLONING), mapping, large scale sequencing, synteny characterization and the global evaluation of genes and their expression patterns (see also MONITORING GENE EXPRESSION). Strategies involve traditional molecular biology methods as well as new technologies such as arrays.
