Analysis of a cloned colicinIb0. gene: complete nacleotide sequence and Implications for regulation of expression

There is an error in Fig. 3 of this paper. There must have been an error in the computer based translation of the DNA sequence between nucleotides 1037 and 1199. Asp and Val residues should be inserted between the Val Phe residues at 1040. Furthermore, the Glu Asn residues at 1194–1199 should be deleted. The intervening amino acid sequence is correct as is the amino acid content of the predicted colicin 1b polypeptide given in Table 1. The DNA sequence given in Fig. 3 is correct. The corrected relevant portion of the figure is shown below.
