Nucleotide sequences of three proline tRNAs from Salmonella typhimurium
Biology Division, National Cancer Center Research Institute Tsukiji 5-1-1, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104, Japan
Received December 6, 1983. Accepted January 6, 1984.
The nucleotide sequences of three proline tRNAs from Salmonella typhirmurium were determined by post-labeling procedures. The three proline tRNAs had almost identical sequences in the D-arm and T
C-arm and all contained l-methylguano next to the 3'-end of the anticodon. The anticodon sequences of tRNA2pro, tRNA3pro and tRNA3pro were 5'-CGG-3, 5'-GGG-3' and 5'-VGG-3', respectively. The nucleotide sequence homologies of tRNA2pro to tRNA1pro and tRNA3pro were 68% and 78%, respectively.
