In vitro synthesis of large peptide molecules using glucosylated single-stranded bacteriophage T4D DNA template

Christian Hulen and Jean Legault-Demare

Laboratoire de Biochimie, Institut du Radium-Fondation Curie, Université Paris-XI bâtiment 110, 91405-Orsay, France

Received August 7, 1975. Denatured Bacteriophage T4D DHA is able to stimulate aminoacid incorporation into TCA-precipitable material in an in vitro protein synthesis system according to base DNA sequences. Newly synthesized polypeptides remain associated with ribosomes and have a molecular weigth in range of 15,000 to 45,000 Daltons.
