Coincidence painting: a rapid method for cloning region specific DNA sequences

D.M.D. Bailey, N.P. Carter, D. de Vos, M.A. Leversha, M.T. Perryman and M.A. Ferguson-Smith

Figure 6, which shows the mapping of 11 STSs by PCR on somatic cell hybrids containing different parts of Xp, has been incorrectly drawn. The correct Xp breakpoints should be shown as Xp22.3 for AMIR2N, Xp22.2 for EHA9 and Xp21.2 for W5A9, i.e. all breakpoints are more distal than illustrated, and all STSs map distal to Xp21.2. The error does not alter any of the conclusions reported.
