Corrigendum

Mer1p is a modular splicing factor whose function depends on the conserved U2 snRNP protein Snu17p

The band corresponding to spliced MER3 RNA was incorrectly identified in Figure 5. Based on the corrected figure (shown above), only 4.3% of the MER3 RNA is spliced in the snu17{Delta} strain; however, when Mer1p is expressed, 27.1% of the MER3 RNA is spliced. Thus, Snu17p is needed for the Mer1p-activated splicing of AMA1 and MER2, but not MER3. The authors regret the error.
