About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover. Two promoter structures of influenza A virus. The upper one is the viral promoter and the lower one is the cRNA promoter, which is the replicative intermediate. The working hypothesis from our work is that the same RdRp regulates viral replication by interacting with distinct but similar promoter structures. The internal loops of both RNA promoters provide common protein binding sites. However, the structural and dynamic differences within the vRNA and cRNA promoters may induce two distinct RNP conformations.
