About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: Structural organization of the yeast Mediator complex. Mediator is an evolutionary conserved protein complex, generally required for transcription regulation of protein-coding genes. Mediator can be divided into different modules with separate roles: Head (blue), Middle (green), Tail (yellow) and CDK8 (red). Protein-protein interactions connecting the different modules are indicated by grey lines. Dashed lines represent interactions, possibly occurring in a different conformational state of the Mediator complex. For further details, see the paper by Guglielmi et al. in this issue [Nucleic Acids Res. (2004) 32, 5379-5391].
