About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: Two RNA helices joined together via a quartet P-interaction between G/U wobble and C/G Watson-Crick basepairs (highlighted in cyan). The P-interaction is one of the most prominent tertiary interactions in the ribosome and is characterized by a unique conservation pattern involving all four participating nucleotides <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “isiresearchsoft-com/cwyw” /> {see article by Mokdad et al. in this issue [Nucleic Acids Res. (2006) 1326–1341]}. The image was created with the VMD software (http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/).
