About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: ChIP-Seq, an emerging technology that combines chromatin immunoprecipitation with the next generation massively parallel sequencing, is increasingly being used for mapping protein-DNA interactions in vivo. The image depicts SISSRs, a novel algorithm for genome-wide identification of binding sites from short sequence reads generated from ChIP-Seq, which was used to identify binding sites for three widely studied and well-characterized human transcription factors: CTCF, NRSF/REST, and STAT1.
